Google Maps Navigation Blocked In UK

As of 9th December 2009, Google have blocked the Google Maps Navigation android app from working outside of the US. Previously, a specially "modified" version allowed the superb free Google Sat Nav android app to work outside of the US, including the UK. I believe they have done this due to licensing issues with the map data outside of the US. All you get now when pressing Navigate is an error stating "Navigation to your destination is not available".
How infuriating.
Check back here for updates on any more "modified" versions that will allow continued use of Google's free sat nav app in the UK.
